Manitoba GREEEN Trucking Program

Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation (MIT) is introducing a new GREEEN (Economically and Environmentally Efficient) Trucking incentive program. The program offers incentives to companies and owner-operators who install various technological improvements.

Participants are required to invest a minimum of $2,000 in technologies to be eligible for rebates. These rebates range from 15 % up to 25 % (maximum $2,500 per unit) of the applicant’s capital investment, based on greenhouse emission reductions.

 

Three categories of after-market technologies are eligible for rebates:

• anti-idling technologies
• truck tractor/trailer aerodynamics
• tire technologies
