PACT-Ottawa Launches Feedback Survey for TruckSTOP Campaign

In April, the Owner-Operator's Business Association linked up with PACT-Ottawa to promote that group's TruckSTOP Campaign, an awareness initiative that provides truck drivers and frequent travelers with the knowledge they need to identify suspected cases of human trafficking and alert law enforcement.

PACT-Ottawa kicked off its campaign at Truck World in April, and materials have been distributed via truck stops and truck shows in southern and eastern Ontario.

PACT's executive director, Kim Howson, called the campaign a phenomenal success, achieving levels of contact far surpassing her expectations. In fact, OBAC and PACT continue to receive calls from people and organizations reached by the original campaign.

PACT-Ottawa has launched a feedback survey to evaluate the effectiveness of the campaign and determine next steps.

PACT-Ottawa hopes to distribute TruckSTOP materials across the country in the near future. Survey results will be invaluable in evaluating the success of the campaign and determining any required modifications to campaign materials. PACT-Ottawa is asking truck drivers, truck stop employees, and other individuals involved in the transportation industry to complete the survey.

The survey will be open from August 29 to October 31, 2012. Individuals who complete the survey will be entered into a draw for gift cards from Chapters, iTunes, and Tim Hortons.

You can access the survey here.

PACT-Ottawa is a non-profit organization committed to preventing human trafficking and assisting trafficked persons. For more information on PACT-Ottawa or the TruckSTOP campaign, visit http://www.pact-ottawa.org/truckstop.html, e-mail truckstop@pact-ottawa.org, or call 613-875-PACT (7228).
